Life with triplets at Brad's condo (9.13.08-9.24.08)

Brad's condo was great that it had running water, power and a warm place to stay. Bad part is we slept on air mattresses, it wasn't bad for the first few nights, but after a while we really missed our home. After the babies delivery, my joints in the knees, legs, and wrists were really weak and still are (it's getting better), so it was really tough to get onto and out of the air mattress. Dan would literally pull me up every morning. Babies all slept together in the play pen and it was fine but they would sometimes wake each other up by. Dan would come to our home almost everyday to pick up more supplies. We picked up Alejandra (the night nanny) on Sunday night but that was the last of it since we were low on gas. We left her a message on her cell phone. Julie (Dan's sis) and my mom did the night shift on Sunday, 9/14. Babies are on a 3 hour feed schedule so they did the midnight, 3 am and 6 am shifts. My mom had power on Monday so I told her to go back home. Julie did the night shifts Monday -Thursday with the help of her friend Ellen. That saved us from being wiped out. Friday rolled around and Dan was able to find gas so he went to Alejandra's house in the day time and left a note for her to call us. We picked her up that night. This continued until we came home next Wed, 9/24. It was the wierdest thing not having power. Family came to visit, some to shower, eat, etc. since they were also w/o power.
