The gates finally came down, not that it was "containing" them any longer. They haven't been contained since the beginning of the year. We took the gates down because we were replacing the carpet in their play area this weekend. The picture shows the old carpet b/c we laid it over the new one to keep it from being destroyed by Redford & Molly. On Monday after breakfast, Hudson was the first one to realize the play area was a little different...no gates, no puzzle mats, and no little balls in the ball pit (went ahead and packed up the mats and balls). He was a little hesitant to walk into it, but he eventually did and then the others followed.
On Friday evening, Dan's parents & his bro, Matt came by to spend time w/the kids. Bob went to pick up pizza and then his parents stayed to help us move their toys out of the play area and block them from it while we're getting the carpet replaced the next morning. The main thing was blocking the 3 arches we have to keep the kids on the living room side. We moved our two couches to block the arches and kept the one side gate up. Matt also helped Dan move our new stove in the kitchen (the new tenants should like that). Pics of the make shift play area.

Saturday and Sunday, Julie and Cote parents came by to help watch kids so Dan can help the handy person replace the carpet, add moldings in one of the other bedroom and minor maintenance so there's no issues w/the house. They feed them their snacks and dinner so Dan and I could deliver furniture to his siblings homes. I even squeezed in a Costco trip on Sunday!Tobin
